This full-time post is available from September 2026 and offers an exciting opportunity to join a successful Faculty.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to teach English in a highly successful, lively and supportive faculty. The successful candidate will have insight and enthusiasm; should be willing to adopt an innovative approach to curriculum planning and be committed to using a wide range of approaches to support pupils making progress in and out of lessons.

TLR2B (£5722) is available for a suitably qualified candidate willing to undertake the role of Second in Charge of English.

The Department has a good record of success in public examinations. At GCSE in 2025, students met national averages across English language and are working well towards this with English literature. Our A-Level results were some of the best in school and area, reaching ALPS 3. All students study English Literature as well as English Language at KS4 and can choose either at KS5.

Charles Darwin School is a highly successful co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11-18 which has been serving the local community since 1973.
