We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative English teacher to join our highly successful department. We have an ambitious and collaborative department with excellent resources, facilities and extracurricular provision. Our English department was ranked 6th in the country for progress at GCSE and St Mark’s was graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in September 2022. Our students achieve consistently high examination results. Additionally, The Sunday Times ranked St Mark’s as the 14th happiest school in the country this year, and our recent Outstanding Ofsted report frequently highlighted the exceptional relationship between staff and students contributing to the exemplary behaviour for learning that students demonstrate.
We are looking for someone who has:
Excellent classroom management, communication, organisation and teaching skills.
The ability to teach English to KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5.
A desire to foster positive relationships with students and staff.
Motivation to try new ideas and keep pushing creative boundaries.
