What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of Ethics & Philosophy to join a high achieving Humanities faculty. We are a forward thinking faculty that aims to challenge and engage all students from Year 7 through to Year 13. The Ethics department has four specialist teachers and the subject is highly valued by the school with years 7 to 11 all having dedicated lessons over the fortnight taught by this team. The postholder will engage in regulated activity.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an excellent classroom teacher with a real commitment to high quality teaching and learning.
  • be able to enthuse, engage and motivate students to raise standards to achieve at all levels; and
  • Willing to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours of Gordano School

Gordano School, part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, is a large and successful 11-18 comprehensive secondary school approximately eight miles outside Bristol.
