What skills and experience we're looking for

Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated teacher with the expertise to co-ordinate and teach Eduqas ‘A’ Level Geology. You will have the skills and abilities to provide an outstanding student experience through teaching, learning and assessment, enabling students to maximise their potential. We are looking for an innovative and committed classroom practitioner who would work collaboratively with the team, the post holder will play a key role in inspiring students to engage with the subject material and to participate actively in lessons.As the co-ordinator and sole teacher, the post holder will contribute to all aspects of the curriculum, ensuring students benefit from a high-quality learning experience. An ability to teach another Science/Earth Science/GCSE subject would be an advantage.

  • Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Teachers pay scale up to £44,256 (1 FTE)
  • Start Date: 29th August 2023 or by arrangement.
