De Aston School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative, and inspirational Teacher of History to join our dedicated History Department.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher of History.

  • Demonstrate a passion for History and a commitment to inspiring young minds.

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner, capable of engaging and motivating students.

  • Be able to teach History at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.

  • Be innovative, strategic, and highly motivated in their approach to teaching.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and prepare engaging and inspiring lessons.

  • Teach assigned pupils according to their educational needs, following our Teaching and Learning policy.

  • Assess, mark, and provide feedback in line with school policies to ensure student progress and attainment.

  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, including trips and enrichment opportunities.

  • Support school policies on dress code, student behaviour, and safeguarding.

  • Promote the well-being and personal development of students, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including attending meetings, CPD sessions, and collaborative projects.
