What skills and experience we're looking for
About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a teacher of IT/computer science as part of our school teaching team. For an exceptional candidate, a TLR may be available for the role of Head of Computer Science.
The teacher of IT/computer science will be accountable for: planning and teaching lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach within the context of the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:

§ Enthusiasm to inspire in students a desire to learn and participate
§ A willingness to get involved in the department’s extra-curricular offer
§ Commitment to professional development and continual improvement
§ Honours degree
§ DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status
The post is full-time and permanent from 1 September 2026 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers. This role reports to a member of SLT.
