Teacher of Languages - Spanish and French job summary
Hagley Catholic High School is looking to recruit a teacher of Spanish and French for a January 2023 start or sooner if possible. It would be desirable that the candidate can teach across all year groups from KS3 to KS4. The Language Department is popular and very well regarded. It has a very well-established team of staff; schemes of learning are well sequenced, and students make excellent progress.
This is a fabulous opportunity in a very good school. 70% of students follow the languages pathway at GCSE in Years 10 and 11, while students’ study both French and Spanish in Year 7 and 8 then choose their language pathway at the start of year 9.
The successful candidate must have experience of teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 as a minimum, with the ability to teach Spanish
to GCSE level and possess a deep knowledge and understanding of current languages specifications at Key Stage 4. The successful candidate would join a team of experienced and talented teachers in a strong department, who were complemented during our last inspection in 2019.
