We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Maths Teacher with excellent subject knowledge to join our Maths team. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom teacher, with the ability to teach maths across all key stages, including the possibility of teaching A Level. We welcome applications from those without prior A level experience with the knowledge and ability to learn quickly to develop skills in this area. Applications are welcome from newly qualified ECT Teachers or a more experienced Teacher.
The Maths Faculty at St Katherine’s is a supportive and dedicated team, committed to developing their pedagogy and sharing the very best practice across the team. We believe that Maths is an exciting subject and numeracy should be central to a young person’s curriculum. We seek to deliver lessons which challenge all students, underpinned by Rosenshine principles. The student lies at the heart of the assessment process and we use a wide range of formative and summative approaches to support learning.
We are ambitious for every child. We have introduced a mastery scheme of work at KS3 and offer students the opportunity to study Level 2 Further Maths at GCSE. At A Level, we offer both Maths and Further Maths. We provide a number of enrichment opportunities based around STEM to inspire and motivate mathematicians for the future.
