Teacher of Mathematics job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding and highly motivated Teacher of Mathematics to join a strong and successful department at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School from 01 September 2022. We welcome applications from teachers interested in a full time or part time position.
The post is suitable for both ECT’s and applicants with previous teaching experience. Newly Qualified Teachers are appointed on point 2 of the main scale to provide some assistance with the costs of travelling to this school.
Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School is a very successful comprehensive school with excellent results at GCSE and A level. The successful applicant will be committed to closing gaps and raising attainment for all abilities through engaging and thoroughly planned lessons.

Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School has a long history. In fact, it is the oldest state secondary school in the country, having been founded in 1384 when Katharine Lady Berkeley set up a school in Wotton-under-Edge, with one master and two students. Since then, the school has come a long way and is now a highly successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school of over 1500 students.
