The Westleigh School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join our vibrant secondary school community. The Role
As an MFL Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in at least one modern foreign language (French and/or Spanish preferred).
- Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious and innovative MFL curriculum.
- Play an active role in the wider school community, supporting enrichment opportunities and whole-school initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a specialism in French and/or Spanish.
- A strong classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students.
- A team player who is committed to continuous professional development.
- Passionate about promoting languages and cultural awareness in young people.

In our secondary schools, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach to curriculum design, to ensure all our schools have breadth and ambition for all students, regardless of their starting points and barriers. Standard curriculum models don’t always engage all students, so we constantly seek to innovate and provide better opportunities to develop both knowledge and skills for life.
