Teacher of MFL job summary
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Modern Foreign Languages teacher who is
passionate about promoting a love for language to students inside and outside of the
classroom and across our whole school community. Both full and part time applications will
be considered.
This is a great opportunity for either an established Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages or
an ECT to join a committed team of staff who share their passion and skills with students at
all levels of ability and understanding.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a love of Modern Foreign Languages
and creative ideas for developing pedagogy and inspiring pupils.
A commitment to the wider education of pupils through extra-curricular activities is an
expectation. The successful candidate will enjoy contributing to an excellent working
environment for pupils, staff, parents and the wider school community.

Lavington School is a mixed comprehensive school and currently has 850 students on roll, aged 11 to 18. It is situated on the western edge of the village of Market Lavington, about six miles south of Devizes, in the heart of rural Wiltshire. Numbers on roll have grown over the years with the school being over-subscribed. In 2018 the school opened its Sixth Form as a satellite centre of Devizes School.
