Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages job summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic teacher to teach Modern Foreign Languages across the age and ability range.

We have two posts available:

  • A full time, permanent appointment, required for September 2026 to teach Spanish across Key stage 3 to 5 with the ability to teach Key Stage 3 German desirable.
  • A full time, permanent appointment, required for September 2026 to teach French across Key Stage 3 to 5 with the ability to teach Key Stage 3 German desirable.

Languages at the school play a hugely important role in ensuring the curriculum offer at Farlingaye offers students breadth and opportunity, and also the chance to foster a life-long love of learning a foreign language. We currently offer three languages, Spanish, French and German at KS3 with most students studying two in years 8 and 9. At GCSE and A Level all three languages are offered, and the strength of outcomes at both levels shows the ability of the students here and the excellence in teaching on offer.
