About the role: Leigh Academy Blackheath continues to grow! As we prepare to move into our third year, we are now looking for a number of inspiring individuals to join our teaching team in September 2020, when we welcome our third cohort of Year 7 students. Leigh Academy Blackheath is a place where tradition meets innovation and the potential of staff and students is realised within a nurturing community. We are now recruiting for an exceptional Teacher of Music who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students in this curriculum area. Applications are welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as we can offer fantastic professional development at every stage of a teacher’s career. The role is offered on a part-time, permanent basis requiring the successful candidate to work 2 days per week. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of January 2020, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
