What skills and experience we're looking for

Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Product Design to join our dynamic Design and Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher to make a significant impact on the education and development of our students.

Our ideal candidate will be a creative, forward-thinking individual who has a genuine passion for teaching Product Design and the ability to engage students with a variety of skills and abilities. You will work within a department committed to delivering outstanding lessons and encouraging students to push the boundaries of their creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons in Product Design at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching.
  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons that stimulate curiosity and creativity in our students.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress to ensure all pupils are supported in reaching their potential.
  • Contributing to the development of the curriculum and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement within the department.

In September 2021, we opened our doors to the 180 founding students of our co educational comprehensive school for 11-18 year olds. Already oversubscribed, our new school is firmly set to be a beacon of excellence for secondary education in Medway.
