What the school offers its staff

Shireland CBSO Academy is part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust providing staff with opportunities to progress both within the school, and across the Trust.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to deliver Religious Education at a brand-new academy, with the potential to shape your career with us as the academy grows.

Shireland CBSO Academy is an exciting new school which opened to Years 7 and 12 in September 2023 and is the first state school in the country to have a partnership with a professional orchestra. Based in Providence Place, West Bromwich, the Academy works in partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and serves all of Sandwell and the wider West Midlands. The Academy is for all students who have a passion or talent for music – they do not necessarily need to already play an instrument.

In return we will offer:

  • Excellent career development opportunities

  • An ICT rich environment which allows staff to be innovative in harnessing technology for learning.
