We are seeking a passionate and reflective teacher with high expectations, excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for all students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, use assessment effectively to drive progress, and play a key role in students’ academic and pastoral development.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Religious Studies lessons that inspire students and ensure strong progress and achievement for all learners.
- Plan and adapt learning activities using inclusive teaching strategies that meet the needs of students of all abilities, backgrounds and learning needs.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and inform future teaching and intervention strategies.
- Support the academic, personal and pastoral development of students, including acting as a form tutor and promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents while upholding 's and 's values of Thinking Big, Doing the Right Thing and Showing Team Spirit
Pay range: MPS/UPS - £34,069.00 - £52,935.00
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in a relevant subject specialism, with strong Religious Studies subject knowledge and understanding of effective pedagogy.
- Proven ability to teach good or outstanding lessons and secure positive outcomes for students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills, using data effectively to inform teaching, raise standards and accelerate progress.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, support colleagues and foster students’ self-esteem and respect for others
