The successful candidate will teach Science throughout the age range 11-16 including all three subjects; Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science specialist to join our highly successful Science department, in a school where:
- Staff are nurtured to develop their craft.

- Science is valued by students and families;
- The majority of students go on to study science at A level;
- Results in science have been significantly above national averages for many years and are in the top 5% nationally;
- The school’s progress 8 score is significantly above average at +0.75 for two consecutive years and ranked in the top 5% nationally;
- There is a strong academic ethos and high expectations of students;
- Behaviour management is centralised and teachers are enabled to flourish.
- Practical science is well supported technically;
- Teaching resources and assessments are already established.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
This post will involve contact with vulnerable groups (children, young people and/or adults) and is therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This exemption means that shortlisted applicants for this post will be required to declare all criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands, and bind- overs both spent and unspent in their application, before interview and regardless of the passage of time.
