We're looking for you if you have:
- Teaching experience within the secondary sector;
- An excellent knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to use them effectively;
- High expectations of yourself and of others.
- The position will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher. As part of your role, you may be required to teach PSHE should the need arise.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Colne Community School for a Teacher of Science to join our Science Faculty.
Our school is a community in which we believe everyone, students and staff alike, should have the opportunity to be nourished and grow. Therefore, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and forward thinking member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our Science Faculty. We aim to foster an inclusive culture where everyone is able to learn from each other. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and diligent.

We work closely with other schools within the Trust to improve standards and ensure that we are creating the best environment for our students to learn and our staff to develop.
Our school community is expanding which makes this a particularly unique and exciting time to join our team. We have a brand new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms fully equipped. A further large scale internal refurbishment took place over the 2022/23 academic year which has improved the school environment for all.
