What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • be an enthusiastic individual who can lead the SEND provision across the school
  • have high expectations of children's attainment, progress, behaviour and emotional well- being
  • have the National Award for SEND Co-ordination (currently or be prepared to work towards this upon taking up post)
  • have high expectations of their own achievement and development, both professionally and personally
  • have excellent organisational skills and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation
  • have a sound knowledge of implementing strategies to support pupils
  • be able to model good practice, deliver training and recommend specific programmes of intervention for pupils
  • be a team player who is creative, energetic and who will provide creative, enriching and inspiring learning opportunities for our children
  • make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life

• be an inspirational and motivating leader with a proven track record of leading aspects of school improvement

  • have high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and be passionate about improving the life chances of our children
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • be looking to develop leadership skills in forward-thinking environment
