What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
- be an enthusiastic individual who can lead the SEND provision across the school
- have high expectations of children's attainment, progress, behaviour and emotional well- being
- have the National Award for SEND Co-ordination (currently or be prepared to work towards this upon taking up post)
- have high expectations of their own achievement and development, both professionally and personally
- have excellent organisational skills and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation
- have a sound knowledge of implementing strategies to support pupils
- be able to model good practice, deliver training and recommend specific programmes of intervention for pupils
- be a team player who is creative, energetic and who will provide creative, enriching and inspiring learning opportunities for our children
- make a positive contribution to all aspects of school life
• be an inspirational and motivating leader with a proven track record of leading aspects of school improvement
- have high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and be passionate about improving the life chances of our children
- be an excellent classroom practitioner
- be looking to develop leadership skills in forward-thinking environment
