Christ Church (Erith) C of E Primary School is recruiting for an experienced primary teacher to work with pupils aged 4- 8 who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
At Christ Church (Erith), our nurture provision focuses on developmental milestones and a holistic curriculum. It provides a happy, safe, and secure learning environment where pupils grow in independence, form positive relationships, and feel valued and respected. Through the nurture approach, pupils will improve their cognitive functioning and ability to learn through better emotional regulation.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate, primary-qualified Teacher to lead a new Nurture provision, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of children, including those with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will teach according to the Principles of Nurture and the Principles of Therapeutic Education, with a strong focus on concrete, creative and playful teaching methods. The provision will cater for pupils with complex needs who require an intensive nurturing and therapeutic approach to enable them to access the curriculum.
