Come and join our "kind, brave and brilliant" school team. We are a one-form entry mainstream primary school with a dedicated Specialist Unit (The Margaret Coates Centre or MCC) for children with a diagnosis of Autism. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our MCC Team and help our pupils thrive both academically and personally.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled practitioner who is committed to inclusive education and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. You will play a key role in providing a nurturing, engaging and ambitious learning environment for pupils with a range of special educational needs, working closely with families, support staff and external professionals.

Within The MCC we group children by their need and stage of development to provide an adapted and specialized curriculum to meet the requirements of each learner and ensure that we are able to be led by each pupil’s Educational Health and Care Plan.

Each year the groups are carefully considered with input from all professionals involved in supporting the child. The MCC operates in 6 classes and 2 pathways. All children require a diagnosis of Autism or to have a clear indication from several professionals that suggest a diagnosis of Autism is likely.

The pupils may also have other co-existing conditions as well as Autism that means a

We run a semi-formal curriculum pathway that can cater for all their needs. This may include access to mainstream learning where and when appropriate.
