The Head Teacher and Governors of Upperby Primary school wish to appoint a suitably qualified committed and enthusiastic teacher for our school.
This teaching position will be suitable for an experienced, bright and dynamic teacher that is eager to join a well-run school with excellent support from both parents and staff and who will match the person specification relevant to this post.
The successful candidate will:
• be an innovative and outstanding classroom practitioner, who has a passion for teaching
• have a clear understanding of the National Curriculum
• display a strong commitment to continuing to raise standards and levels of achievement planning appropriately to meet children's individual needs in all areas of learning
• have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and a commitment to high standards, both professionally and personally
• be flexible, enthusiastic and have the commitment to work as part of a strong team
• be an inspirational role model, who will be fully involved in the life of the school
• be able to create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment
• recognise the importance of forming strong links with parents and the community
• be able to lead a curriculum area as well as additional tasks as required
• fully support the ethos and values of our school

Our school serves the south of Carlisle, with 397 children currently attending.
