Are you an enthusiastic, energetic, and forward-looking educator? Westwoodside CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Year 3/4 Class Teacher. We are looking for a teacher who holds high expectations and is committed to creating a learning environment of the highest quality.

The Role

As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a curriculum that meets the educational needs of all children in your care, in line with the National Curriculum and academy policies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching & Learning:Delivering high-standard, full-time teaching across the primary phase, with a particular focus on literacy and numeracy.
  • Subject Leadership:Acting as a subject leader for a designated area.
  • Pastoral Care:Supporting the social and personal development of pupils while maintaining a safe and disciplined environment.
  • Inclusion:Identifying and supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND), including more able children, in collaboration with external agencies and academy staff.
  • Team Collaboration:Working alongside colleagues and supervising support staff, such as teaching assistants, to achieve the school’s overall objectives.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Successful teaching experience within the primary sector.
  • Sound understanding of primary literacy, numeracy, and the wider curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with parents, staff, and governors.
  • Ability to maintain good order and discipline through positive behavior management.
