Teaching and Learning Assistant job summary

The Headteacher and Trust School Champions wish to appoint a professional, hard working and friendly individual to join our team.

Working part time 18.75 hours over the week (each morning), term time only plus inset days. The post is fixed term to the 31st of August 2027.

Interviews are expected to be held week commencing the 29th of April. The ideal candidate would be able to start as soon as possible/the Summer term.

New Whittington Primary School are part of a multi academy, 'The Leaners Trust'. We are a friendly school, based in Chesterfield, close to motorway links.

The Teaching Assistant role is varied and includes a number of responsibilities, including delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of children, working closely with the class teacher to contribute to the management of behaviour, assisting with learning materials, promoting inclusion, establishing productive relationships and acting as a role model.
