Teaching Assistant 1-1 SEN job summary

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our school and support children with special educational needs.

Our ideal candidate will be capable, reliable, and equipped with strong literacy and numeracy skills to meet the learning needs of individual pupils and small groups. Depending on the needs of the child, there may be occasions when you will be required to provide support with personal care and hygiene.

If you are patient, resilient, organised, and passionate about helping children succeed, we would be delighted to hear from you. We offer a well-resourced school with supportive and friendly colleagues and governors.

This role also includes lunchtime supervision, which may take place indoors or outdoors.

The position is offered as a permanent contract, working 31.25 hours per week, term time plus 5 INSET days, with a 45-minute lunch break. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.

Applicants for this public-facing role must be able to converse with and provide effective support or advice to pupils, parents, and colleagues fluently in spoken English.
