Wymondham College Prep School is looking to appoint a highly committed, enthusiastic and compassionate individual who has an energy and interest in not only working with whole classes of children but also working with small groups of children and/or in a 1:2:1 capacity, intervening to close gaps in children’s subject knowledge and developing their basis skills.

Wymondham College Prep School opened in September 2020 with two Reception classes housed in Wymondham College. In September 2021 the school moved into its new purpose-built home on the site of Wymondham College. The school is currently two form entry from Reception – Year 6 with 422 pupils on roll. When the school is full, we will be a school of 452 pupils which includes up to 32 boarders across Year 5 & Year 6.

THE POST
We are looking for a positive, caring and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join the team at Wymondham College Prep School on a permanent basis. The role will support the complement the professional work of teachers as directed.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment and have evidence of professional growth having received training in a range of different academic, SEND and social & emotional areas of child development;
- Be committed to the school’s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development;
- Be eager to learn, develop and grow in order to be an exceptional practitioner;
- Have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring disposition and a good sense of humour;
- Understand the importance of an inclusive environment, supporting pupils to follow the school’s Good Choice Mantras – ‘Do the Right Thing / Make a Difference / Value Every Voice’;
- Have a welcoming, kind and nurturing manner and a commitment to professionalism.
