What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has come up at our small village school to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to become part of our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will be supporting a child with additional needs. Experience in either Key Stage would be beneficial.

We are looking for someone:

  • Who is calm, flexible and imaginative.
  • Who has experiance of working with special educational needs.
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a car.
  • To work as a key worker for a child with additional needs
  • Has good interpersonal skills and is able to use their initiative as well as working well in a team.
  • Has a good level of English, Maths and IT skills.
  • We would like to hear about any intrests or hobbies that may enrich a pupils experiance in your application.

The successful candidate taking direction from the class teacher and SENCo to provide high quality support to small groups of children and 1:1 individuals.

A willingness to undertake the following training is essential:

  • Children Protection and Prevent Training
  • First Aid Training
  • Positive handleing
