Robert Kett Primary School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone with the energy and passion to support children’s learning both in whole-class settings and through targeted small-group or one-to-one capacity. Your role will be key in helping close gaps in subject knowledge and developing essential skills.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with groups of children and providing 1:1 support in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Be able to help pupils access the curriculum within a mainstream classroom.
  • Deliver intervention programmes to small groups of children.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for improving the lives and outcomes of all children.
  • Show flexibility, optimism, and a positive attitude towards the demands of the role.
  • Be versatile, tactful, committed, and able to use initiative effectively.
  • Remain patient, calm, and respectful of children’s views.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to its ongoing development.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Hold suitable qualifications for the role, including strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or above), and communicate confidently both orally and in writing.
  • Have experience using behaviour management strategies.
