Teaching Assistant role
Working Pattern: 08.45-15.15 Monday to Thursday
Hours per week: 20 hours
NJC Grade J2 :£12.62 per hour £23,656 FTE
to
NJC Grade K7 : £13.69 per hour £26,409 FTE depending on experience
MDSA -
Hours per week: 4 hours
Salary: NJC Grade J2 :£12.62 per hour.
We are looking to appoint an outgoing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and MDSA to join our friendly and hardworking team, at Oakhurst Community Primary School.
Key Roles and responsibilities:
- Following the direction of the class teacher, SENDCO and Headteacher in a classroom environment, either 1:1, a small group or a wider classroom setting
- Support children to access the curriculum so they make progress in their learning.
- Work successfully as part of a team to promote the emotional, physical and educational development of all pupils
- Ability to work and manage children with variable needs
- To oversee and supervise lunchtime periods either in the dining hall, playground or any other setting
