Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant x 2 positions
Teaching Assistant.
Type of role: Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026
Hours per week: 25 hours 8.45-3.15 Monday to Friday ( 30 min unpaid break per day)
Pay Rate: £12.67 - £13.70 per hour depending on experience.
Working weeks: Term Time only.
Midday Supervisory Assistant
Type of role: Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026
Hours per week: 5 hours per week 12.15-13.15
Pay rate: £12.67
Working Weeks: Term time only.
We are excited to welcome a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our vibrant team at Oakhurst Community Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference to children's lives and wants to play a key role in their learning journey.
What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCO, and Headteacher to support learning in a variety of settings- from one-to-one and small groups to the whole class.
- Helping children access the curriculum and thrive in their learning , building both their skills and their confidence.
- Playing an active role in nurturing the emotional, physical and educational development of every pupil.
- Supporting children with a wide range of needs, using creativity and patience to help them succeed.
MDSA Duties will include:
- Putting out tables and benches.
- Supervising and support lunches being eaten in the dining hall.
- Supervise lunchtime play on the playground and field, encouraging positive interactions and dealing with incidents.
- Wipe up and clean tables and the hall floor, putting away benches and tables.
- Keeping children safe throughout lunchtime.
