St Peter’s Catholic Primary is building a community of educators who collaborate to support every child during their unique learning journey. We are seeking to recruit to our current TA team.

Post title: Teaching Assistant

Grade: TA: point 3, 4-6 £25,185 - £25,989

OPAL (lunch cover): point 2 £24,796, both per annum pro rata

Hours: 8:30am to 3:15pm, 20 minutes for lunch 25.83 hours per week, with 5 hours OPAL cover

Contract: Fixed Term (1 year)

Closing date: Friday 26th September 12pm

Interview date: Thursday 2nd October

We are recruiting:

Teaching Assistants who understand children and their needs. You may have experience of working with children with SEND but this is not essential. We are looking for people who are kind, courageous, willing to learn and are able to build supportive relationships with adults and children in our community.

Have high personal expectations and dedication to achieve the best for the children they teach and support.

Have the positive attitude needed to support class teachers in delivering planned activities as well as in managing groups of children.

Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills, be able to support children in reading, writing and maths.

Talk about education and our values, giving examples how they live these in their own lives and contexts

Work collaboratively with all members of the community.
