Elizabeth Woodville School is an aspirational and inclusive 11-18 comprehensive school with approximately 1100 students. Our school is located on two sites: Roade in Northamptonshire and Deanshanger on the outskirts of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. We are one school with both sites operating independently with a Head of School on each site, under the leadership of the Director of Secondary Education.
We are a thriving community school looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within an established team at our Roade campus. You will work with school staff and students providing learning support to students across the school.
Applicants should have an interest in flexible learning methods, and a commitment to promoting self-esteem. Experience of working with young people in the 11 - 16 age range would be an advantage but is not essential. A good standard of literacy and numeracy, GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English are required for this post.
The successful candidate will:
· Have experience of working with young people
· Be approachable and flexible
· Be committed to promoting self esteem
· Have to meet the person specification and will be required to apply for a DBS disclosure
· Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Training and development opportunities will be offered. All staff are encouraged to study further and the trust will actively support staff to obtain relevant further qualifications where possible.
