Teaching Assistant job summary
We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our team!
Blackbrook Community Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, seeks to appoint a teaching assistant. We seek to employ a member of staff who is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school and the pupils. We are looking for someone who is passionate, patient, empathetic and who has a passion working with children to help and nurture their educational journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working 1:1 with pupils with a range of specific SEND needs as required
- Work to provide activities and learning such as reading, writing with small groups of pupils under the supervision of the class teacher
- Implementing adaptations to learning identified by the class teacher and SENDCo
- Work as part of the staff team to support teaching provision and pupil's learning
- Provide objective and accurate feedback to the pupil/s, helping them to extend their learning
- Support and supervise pupils at break and lunchtimes
Experience Desirable:
- Experience in education
- Experience Supporting pupils with SEND needs
- Excellent communication skills and working well as part of a team
- Experience with medical support for children in school
Hours of work: Full time. Term time only. 30.42 hours a week.
Actual Salary: £17,009
