Teaching Assistant (Dedicated Needs)
To commence September 2025
Permanent/ part time
Grade D - £25,992 – £27,269 pro rata p.a £19,812 - £20,786 actual
32.5 hours per week, term time (39 weeks per year)
Mon – Fri 8.30am - 3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break
We are looking to appoint an effective, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Dedicated Needs) to join our enthusiastic and supportive team at Merebrook infant School. We are passionate about ensuring that all children have the best learning opportunities and you will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff usually in the classroom. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with children with a SEND need and/or an understanding of the support they will need to succeed in a mainstream primary school. You must enjoy working with children and be able to relate well to both students and adults and want to make a difference to the lives of our young people.
The ideal candidate will: -
Have a good basic education with proficiency in numeracy, literacy and ICT.
Have experience of working with children with a SEND need.
Want to make a difference to the children in our care.
