Teaching Assistant - Early Years job summary
Early Years Teaching Assistant working 12.5 hours/week in a reception class.

We seek to appoint a highly professional, enthusiastic, patient and caring Teaching Assistant to work in Reception supporting children’s learning. We require a positive and flexible team player who shows initiative and who is committed to support all children to engage fully in their learning and development.
We have a strong Governing Board and, as well as a nurturing, positive ethos, we offer a culture of continuing improvement, professional growth and high expectations.

The successful applicant will:
Have an understanding of child development.
Be reliable and flexible.
Be calm and patient.
Be able to act on their own initiative.
Be able to carry out a speech and language programme under the guidance of the school’s Speech and Language Therapist.
Be able to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
Be confident to liaise with staff, parents and other professionals.
Have a professional attitude and understand the need for confidentiality.
Have high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour.
