Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Teaching and Learning Assistant who consistently demonstrates high expectations and is a conscientious and committed professional.
The post will begin on Monday 28th February 2022 to enable currently employed applicants to serve their notice. However, if the successful applicant is available, the post could start on Thursday 10th February 2022. Working hours are 32 hours per week, term time only, following Derbyshire term dates.
Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in Reception, facilitating learning through play as well as individual and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of the Early Learning Goals. Understanding of the Early Years Curriculum and expectations and knowledge of Early Reading and Early Numeracy are essential.
