Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to join our professional and enthusiastic team of support staff. The ideal candidate will be able to support the classroom teacher in all aspects of teaching, be supportive and understanding of individual pupils’ needs and bring a professional knowledge of child development and the curriculum. The ability to support both literacy and numeracy at KS2 and KS3 is essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong organisational and planning skills, and a flexible approach to work.
- Enjoy a varied workload
- Be able to work on their own initiative but also be a committed team player.
- Have high levels of motivation and be able to engage and inspire
Candidates must:
- Have GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C.
- Have a good level of understanding of special educational needs
- Have a kind and supportive approach towards children
- Ensure the welfare of children is a priority

Hours: 32.5 hrs per week (Full time/Part time) Term-time only + training days.
Previous school experience is desirable. Flexible working will be considered.
