• Working pattern: Part time: 13.25 hours. Wednesday afternoon 13:00-15:15 Thursday all day 8:45-12:00 13:00-15:15 Friday all day 8:45-12:00 13:00-15:15 38 weeks per year (term time only) There is a possibility that this contract will be extended.
• Contract type: Fixed term - 10 months
• Actual salary: Grade 4 SCP 5 (£24,790 - £25,183 pro-rata per annum) (Annual pay award pending)
• Pay scale: Grade 4

What skills and experience we're looking for

• Has experience of working with young children within EYFS and with SEND.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience and flexibility.

• Is organised, proactive and able to work as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
• Communicates effectively with children, families, and staff

• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).

Weaver Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support a child in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

• Supporting an EYFS child with SEND to access learning and daily routines.
• Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted support and personalised strategies.
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and positive learning environment.
• Building strong, supportive relationships with children, staff and families.
