John Blandy Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in their learning and development, helping them thrive both academically and personally. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality classroom support, ensuring all pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve success.

The Role
You will:
- Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities.
- Provide individual and small-group support, including for pupils with additional needs.
- Promote inclusion, independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Assist with the implementation of education, behaviour and personal care plans.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
- Assist with educational visits, lunchtime supervision and other school activities as required.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with or caring for children.
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Can build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and inclusion.
- Is willing to learn and engage in professional development opportunities.
- Has knowledge of child development and learning strategies (desirable).
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
