What skills and experience we're looking for

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic new member of support staff to work one to one with a child with additional needs. The post will be from 8.45am-3.15pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. This position will be on a fixed term contract starting 1st January 2026 until July 2027, when it will be reviewed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting 1:1 and small groups
  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy sessions
  • Supporting with behavioural needs and working in line with school policies
  • The postholder may be required to attend, from time to time, training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her own training needs and the needs of the school.
