What skills and experience we're looking for

We hope to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience, enthusiasm, positivity and the unshakeable desire to make a difference to our children. In return the school offers excellent continuous professional development and the opportunity to learn within this diverse and dynamic school.

We welcome applications and we would be delighted to show you around and answer any queries you may have. Please contact the school office to make an appointment if you wish to visit the school.

What the school offers its staff

Frederick Bird is a large 3/4 form entry, spacious, well-resourced Primary school serving the Hillfields community of Coventry. Our committed staff team are always looking to do more to genuinely promote the life chances of our children.

We are currently in the process of joining Inspire Education Trust who have been supporting us with school improvement from the wider Teaching & Learning team since November 2022. We are very excited about this new partnership and can already see the difference working alongside the Inspire team. With our Ofsted inspection being very recent and the fact we are moving into a Trust, we now have at least 3 years to continue to develop to secure at least ‘Good’ at our next inspection.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, supportive team. Working with Teachers and Leaders across the school, the successful candidate will support the development and education of our children, including those who have special physical, emotional and educational needs.

Following recommendations from Keeping Children Safe in Education

(KCSIE) for an additional pre-employment check with effect 1 Sept 22,

please note, an online search may form part of this recruitment

process.

Commitment to safeguarding
