THE ROLE
As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant at our special school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
Getting the classroom ready for lessons
Assisting students with alternative learning
Helping those who need extra support providing 1-1 support and interventions
As a grade 4 TA implementing lesson plans and activities
Completing records - updating, maintaining and monitoring pupil plans
Leading small and whole class group work
THE CANDIDATE
Experience in a school or similar setting
IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
MUST be educated with GCSE Math's and English
NVQ L3 qualification, working towards or willing to complete
Ideally a car driver
Joining our team as a Teaching Assistant TA Grade 4 offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting. This role is based at the Alternative Academy in Kendray.
SALARY/ HOURS Starting salary for a grade 4 Teaching Assistant is £19,802 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust
