For someone working as a teaching assistant in class, this means that they understand what each child needs to be able to flourish in their primary education, and then they do what is required to help the child make progress. As a teaching assistant you would be involved in supervising children, leading interventions, preparing resources and working closely with teachers to help all children to make progress in their learning.

Hillside Avenue Primary and Nursery School is a successful and popular school in Thorpe St Andrew, to the East of Norwich. We have high expectations for everyone in our school, making use of staff skills and experience, resources, technology and our extensive school site to fulfil our vision to enable children to be ‘the best they can be’.
