Teaching Assistant job summary
Intake Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their team!
The successful candidate will supervise and provide support to pupils, including those with special needs and on a 1:1 basis, to ensure access to learning activities. Other responsibilities include the preparation and maintenance of resources and support to staff and pupils.
As our Teaching Assistant, you will be:
• Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• Support pupils in accessing learning activities as directed by the teacher
• Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
We are looking for individuals who have:
• Recent relevant experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
• Good numeracy/literacy skills
• Ability to relate well to children and adults
• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these (desirable)

Intake Primary Academy is based in Doncaster. At Intake we work with children aged 3 – 11 years old, from Nursery through to Foundation Stages and Key Stages 1 and 2.
We have 14 teaching staff, 14 teaching support staff, an Inclusion Team and 3 office staff.
