Teaching Assistant - Intermediate job summary

Birches Green Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced, inspirational and ambitious Teaching Assistant (Intermediate) to join our school in September 2026. This is a key role in shaping children's school experiences and has a direct impact on delivering high-quality education that our pupils deserve. We are a very friendly and busy school and are situated in the heart of Erdington, in Birmingham with a passion for improving the lives of our community.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant (intermediate) to join our successful team. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate they have:

a proven track record of delivering strong outcomes

High expectations and a commitment to raising standards for all learners

Plan and deliver engaging, innovative learning experiences that ignite curiosity and early development

Communicate effectively, and contribute positively as part of a collaborative team

Experience of working with pupils with EAL and SEND.
