Actual Annual Salary: £19,061 - £20,776

Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time only plus inset days

Hours: Part Time, 31.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Provisional Start Date: 1 September 2026

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with the passion and drive to make a difference to the lives of young people, both within and beyond the classroom, supporting the delivery of excellent educational experiences and championing the life chances of all children in our academy.

Supporting students in a variety of interventions and assisting teaching staff in the development of learning strategies by the preparation of resources and maintaining a safe and suitable learning environment. Promoting and reinforcing students' self-esteem, appropriate behaviour and effort and guiding students to become independent learners. Undertaking learning activities with students of significantly varying abilities to ensure differentiation and access to the curriculum.

About you:

You will:

  • have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
  • be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one to one or small group basis.
  • be committed to undertake relevant qualifications, e.g. relevant NVQ Level 2/ 3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent, first aid qualification, to ensure ongoing professional development.
  • be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one to one or small group basis.
  • have strong interpersonal skills, in particular with the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening.
  • have good planning and organisational skills, specifically with regard to learning activities and support materials.
  • be someone with a keen interest in working with children and commitment to inclusion and acceptance of all.
