Twerton Infant School and Nursery for 2 - 7 year olds has an established reputation for being both inclusive and responsive to individual needs. We seek to appoint two highly professional, enthusiastic, patient and caring Teaching Assistants to work in key stage one supporting children’s learning. We require positive and flexible team players who show initiative and who are committed to support all children to engage fully in their learning and development.
We welcome applications from recent Graduates and Teachers looking to work in the Teaching Assistant role.
The successful applicants will:
Have an understanding of child development.
Be reliable and flexible.
Be calm and patient.
Be able to act on their own initiative.
Be able to carry out a speech and language programme under the guidance of the school’s Speech and Language Therapist.
Be able to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
Be confident to liaise with staff, parents and other professionals.
Have a professional attitude and understand the need for confidentiality.
Have high expectations for children’s learning and behaviour.
Interviews will be on Thursday 2nd December 2021
Start dates:
Post 1: 31.25 hours/week - 3rd January 2022.
Post 2: 25 hours/week - 3rd January 2022.
