Teaching Assistant L2 - Longden CE Primary School and Nursery job summary
Longden CE Primary School and Nursery is a vibrant, busy and popular school full of delightful children and happy adults. We are looking to add to our dynamic, friendly and committed team in the following role:
Classroom Teaching Assistant (1 post): 30 hours per week total, term time only (43.6 weeks), permanent. 25hrs per week, Level 2 – Level 3 TA, Grade 5 (SCP 5) £10.19 - Grade 6 (SCP 7-11) £11.47 per hour, depending on experience, plus 5hrs lunchtime supervisor Grade 1 (SCP 1) £9.50 per hour.
To work with a class of Y2/3 children supporting learning in Reading, Writing, Maths, 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday.

We are RURAL - nestling on the northern edge of the Stretton Hills, overlooking the Severn valley and the beautiful county town of Shrewsbury below, our three acres of ground include a sports field, landscaped playing field, playground, Grace's garden - our quiet space, class cultivation beds, mini allotment with chicken run, wild area for climbing trees and making dens, outdoor classroom with pond and dipping platform.
We are SMALL – small enough to know each and every one of our 131 pupils for the fascinating individuals they are; yet not so small that we can’t stand tall on the sports field and through endeavour achieve great things. Our girls and boys teams have enjoyed enormous success in football, cricket, hockey and other games – by the time they leave every child will have represented the school in some capacity in a competitive arena. Sport is a great example of the way we do things at Longden: a determination to succeed, to build on achievement, to make things better, encouraged by the pleasure of playing as a team, typical of the work of governors, teachers, support staff, parents and children.
