Further details about the role
This role has been created specifically to support additional needs in key stages 1 and 2, and is fixed-term until 19th July 2024.
The postholder will be supporting children's social, emotional and learning needs. They will act as a keyworker for a small group of children and will be expected to keep records of the children's activities and progress, with the support of colleagues. Support will take place in the classroom when possible, and in a nurture-type provision when needed. The role will involve preparing resources to support children's learning, including visual timetables, visual prompts, tray tasks; experienced staff will support the postholder to do all of this initially.
The role will also involve some break duties and daily lunchtime supervision, from 12 until 12.30p.m.
Normally we would offer visits to see the school in action; however, due to the short turn-around with this post, we will be offering tours of the school on the interview day. Meanwhile, we will gladly answer any questions you may have about the post by email or phone.
