We are looking for Teaching Assistant's (Level 2) to join our team at Hillside Primary School & Nursery in Ipswich, a welcoming and inclusive school community where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with teachers, supporting learning both in the classroom and through targeted small group or individual support, while helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. We are seeking someone who brings warmth, patience and high expectations, and who shares our commitment to ensuring that all children, including those with additional needs, can participate fully, make progress and flourish.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning for individuals and small groups, adapting activities to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour across the classroom.
  • Assist in monitoring, recording and reporting pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing.
  • Support pupils with SEND, personal care, social development and emotional wellbeing where required.
  • Prepare learning resources and work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals to support pupil success
